Specialized Care for Injury Treatment
In trauma care, speed is everything. A traumatic injury is a unique medical condition that requires swift, multidisciplinary treatment and specialized, highly experienced resources.
The Trauma Center at Ars Medica Clinic ensures a prompt diagnostic process and orthopedic treatment within 24 hours of the injury, backed by a team of experts working in perfect harmony.
The leading causes of trauma include automobile and motorcycle accidents, sports injuries, falls, and domestic incidents. These events necessitate the management of complex aspects, from medical to psychological, often in situations where planning is minimal.
The Trauma Center, a specialized emergency facility, provides the following services:
- Ambulance dispatch with or without a physician on board, depending on the situation’s requirements.
- Immediate diagnostic testing (as requested by the orthopedic surgeon), including X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans with or without contrast, blood tests, cardiology, and anesthesiology evaluations, and internal medicine consultations.
- Activation of the on-call operating room service.
- Admission to the Intensive Care Unit.
Patients who have experienced trauma always have access to:
- Intensive care, both pre-operative and post-operative;
- Functional rehabilitation and recovery services;
- Upon request, home care following hospital discharge.
Treated Conditions Include:
- Pelvic fractures, femoral neck fractures, and fractures of the limbs;
- Dislocations;
- Sports-related trauma;
- Road traffic trauma;
- Pediatric trauma and orthopedics;
- Treatment of muscle-tendon and joint disorders using autologous growth factors;
- Management of post-traumatic deformities and non-union of the limbs.
Casa di Cura Ars Medica is committed to providing comprehensive trauma emergency care. To this end, we have established a dedicated 24/7 emergency hotline exclusively for this service, available at 06362081. This line is managed by on-duty staff who can promptly request the intervention of a biologist for urgent pre-operative tests and a radiologist for diagnostic imaging (X-rays, CT scans).
Trauma consequences are assessed by an orthopedic specialist and an anesthesiologist, ensuring rapid diagnostic evaluation and, if necessary, immediate orthopedic and surgical intervention.
Our Trauma Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including orthopedic and trauma beds that are fully radiolucent and designed for minimally invasive osteosynthesis procedures.
Zero Tolerance for Pain:
We place a strong emphasis on controlling and reducing pre- and post-operative pain. For added patient safety, we use a blood recovery machine to eliminate the need for blood transfusions. If needed, a team of top specialists, from plastic surgeons to neurosurgeons, is available for intervention.
