Test Preparation

Please observe an 8-12 hour fasting period before the blood draw.

Thoroughly clean the external genital area. Collect a midstream sample from the first urine of the morning, discarding the initial stream, unless otherwise directed by your physician. Use disposable containers available at pharmacies. For women, it is recommended to wait at least three days after the end of the menstrual cycle before collecting the sample.

Wash your hands thoroughly. Clean the external genital area thoroughly with water and soap. Discard the initial stream and collect, unless otherwise directed by your physician, the midstream urine directly into the container. Close the container quickly and securely, and deliver it to the laboratory as soon as possible. It is essential to have suspended any antibiotic therapy for at least one week prior to collection.

Thoroughly wash your hands with water and soap. Clean the external genital area thoroughly. Apply the collection bag (available at pharmacies) ensuring it adheres well to the skin. Keep the bag in place for no longer than 60-90 minutes; if necessary, replace it and repeat the procedure. As soon as urination occurs, remove the bag, seal it carefully, and place it into a sterile plastic urine container without transferring the contents. Deliver the container to the laboratory as soon as possible.

Discard the urine from the first morning void and note the time (e.g., 8:00 AM).
Collect all urine produced throughout the day and night in the provided container, available at pharmacies.
The following morning, complete the collection with the urine voided at the same time as the previous day (e.g., 8:00 AM) into the same container.
Once the collection is complete, deliver the container to the laboratory as soon as possible.
During the collection period, keep the container in a cool place.
