Day Hospital

The Day Hospital is a type of admission designed for daytime stays lasting up to 8 hours. It involves one or more scheduled visits, each lasting less than a full day, and allows for the provision of multidisciplinary diagnostic and/or therapeutic services.

This type of admission is not intended for emergencies and can only be scheduled in advance.

At Ars Medica, Day Hospital services are available for the following purposes:

• Check-ups: To provide greater comfort to patients by allowing them to complete clinical examinations and medical consultations within a few hours.
• Medical and oncological therapies: Involving one or more visits for cancer treatments.
• Minor surgical procedures: That do not require general anesthesia. In these cases, patients are accommodated in a room with a reclining chair.
• Pre-hospitalization: When the attending physician requests that all preoperative tests and any necessary specialist consultations be completed before the scheduled hospital admission.
